I’m so late in getting this training post up that I doubt anyone will read this or comment on it – but I’m still working on holding myself accountable by posting. This is week 11 in the training and it was an okay week. No super long run this week, the longest was 4 miles.
On Tuesday I headed to Valley Forge after work. Let’s just say it wasn’t the most enjoyable run, but I’m basically to blame for that. It was cold and I had forgotten both my earbuds and my headband/hat. My ears are the most sensitive part of my body when it comes to the cold. So cold ears and no music was not fun.
Wednesday I got another run in around my condo complex. I felt better this day then the previous one. Only real complaint is that my scar was hurting. I had minor surgery a couple of years ago on my knee to remove a pre-cancerous mole, and they had to dig pretty deep for it so it was a rather large scar. Plus it never healed properly. My brother teases me when I say my scar hurts with “who are you, Harry Potter?”
Today was my 4 mile run and I was just not feeling it. There’s some sort of chest congestion thing going around here and I can tell I’ve got some of it because breathing was not doing well. But I forced myself to finish the 4 miles and I’m hoping for better running next week!
