Still trying to get back into the swing of things after being rather sick the past week, and finishing up the play that I’m in (closing night was Saturday!). I’ll get a little more free time, though I will be starting rehearsals for a new show soon! Just fitting in my runs this week was an accomplishment, to be honest.
On Wednesday I went for one of the shorter runs. I had the day off from work (until I went in for the evening) so I got in a morning run with a good pace. Though I’m realizing that I was so used to running at night I don’t really know what sort of fuel to put into my body before running in the morning. I got a bit of a stitch in my side, so I’m going to try experimenting with different food options in the mornings.
Thursday I had to do the treadmill. It actually turned out to be my fastest pace ever, so there is something to be said for being able to control my pace so much. Though my left leg was a bit sore – that always seems to happen on the treadmill, for some reason.
Monday was my long run for the week, of 5 miles. To be honest, I almost didn’t make it. After about 20 minutes my left leg was hurting so badly. I paused my run and stretched it out a lot. I had stretched before the run, but clearly not enough. After a couple of minutes I decided to keep going, and I did manage to finish so I’m proud of myself for not giving up!
