Is mom a Disney lover? Not sure what to get her? Gifts from Mickey may be the perfect solution! It’s a Disney subscription box with items directly from the theme parks. They have a wide range of boxes for all price points, as well as themed boxes (like one with just snacks, one with coffee/mugs, etc.).
I really think Gifts from Mickey would be the perfect item for Disney moms, no matter what their level of fandom is. If she’s a casual fan, it’s a fun way to add a little Disney magic into their day. And if she’s really into the fandom, you’re probably hesitant to get her something Disney because you don’t know what she already has. This way you can get them some surprise Disney items from the theme parks, and it’s pretty likely that she won’t have much of it – Gifts from Mickey is great at including exclusive items and new stuff from the parks. I visit several times a year and I often get stuff in their boxes that I haven’t even seen before!
Let’s take a look at one of their recent boxes and why everything in here would be perfect for mom! This is the Be Our Guest box:
If you’re looking for a little taste of Disney and you want to keep up with what’s going on, Jennifer always puts in the most recently park maps and anything else from current special events – in the spring, that means the passport from Flower and Garden festival!
I have a feeling mom will love this beautiful little box from Animal Kingdom. It’s gorgeous wood with a giraffe carved into it, so if she’s a safari fan like I am it’s definitely a win! She can keep all sorts of little knickknacks or jewelry inside of it.
Of course mom could use some pampering, so some delicious smelling soap with Mickey heads in it will make her next shower or bath all the more relaxing.
And if she needs a treat, these snacks great from the Disney parks are sure to hit the spot. Disney makes a variety of delicious flavored popcorn, but I’ll admit I’m a huge fan of the confetti. It’s fruit flavored – the best way I can describe it is that it tastes like Trix in popcorn form! And the Mickey rice krispie head was just to die for. It’s from Germany in Epcot and made with Werther’s caramel, so it’s even better than a typical Mickey rice krispie treat.
Here are two more fun items from Epcot. The Italy pot holder is an easy way to add a touch of Disney to your kitchen at home, and the Belle stein from Arribas Bros. is a fun collectible that you could easily display anywhere.
Perhaps mom prefers a more subtle approach to adding Disney into her home. The next two items are perfect for that. This coaster is beautiful, with vibrant colors of blue and yellow and a fun pattern, and you may only notice if you look closely that it also has hidden Mickeys!
This pillow is lovely and much the same way. The one side has a more subtle Disney theme to it, with the floral pattern standing out but Minnie Mouse making an appearance when you take a second look. And if you flip it over you’ll find a larger Minnie Mouse head with the same floral style.
Perhaps Mom is dreaming of her next Disney vacation. Whether she has a trip planned already or is just hopeful of another one, these Minnie Mouse themed sunglasses are great for the sunny theme parks or just to wear around town. The Minnie bow accent is so cute!
Pardon the glare on this photo, but these are two more fun items directly from the theme parks. The luggage tag is great for when you’re going to Disney, and the postcard is some gorgeous Haunted Mansion artwork that’s great for displaying in the home.
It might be hard for Mom to claim that she’s as big a fan of the orange bird as I am, but if she loves him like I do she’ll be a big fan of this little charm. There are so many things you could do with this little guy – add it to a necklace or bracelet to create some jewelry, put it on a purse, keychain, or phone.
And finally, how could any Disney gift be complete with a mug? This one is a current mug at the Flower and Garden Festival, and I think it’s such an adorable design. If mom likes gardening or flowers she’ll probably appreciate the flower pot design, and of course who doesn’t love Mickey, Pluto, and the orange bird?
If I was a mom I know my kids couldn’t go wrong with a Gifts from Mickey subscription box from me. And I have a feeling that even as a more casual fan my own mom would appreciate a lot of the things in here (and of course I am willing to share with her! What would you like, Mom? I know you’re reading!). If you still need an idea, I highly recommend Gifts from Mickey for mother’s day!
Which item in this box do you think your mom would like the most?
