Frozen 2 quotes

After seeing Frozen 2 a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but start listening to the soundtrack. A lot of the songs are excellent, and really quite catchy. While I still overall prefer the first movie (both in terms of as a film and the soundtrack), I think Frozen 2 has grown on me a little more. And from both the song lyrics and dialogue, there’s a lot of great Frozen 2 quotes!

I’m a sucker for good quotes. If you see my GoodReads account I have a ton of quotes saved there from different books. In fact, if I’m reading a book and come across something that really speaks to me I mark the page so I can write it down. Then I find it on GoodReads or enter it there if someone else hasn’t already so it’s always with me. So I thought I would share some of my favorite Frozen 2 quotes with you! I have a feeling the more times I see the movie, the more quotes I’ll find…

“My love is not fragile.” – Kristoff

Just gonna start with what might be my favorite quote of the movie. It was so awesome to see a male character who was there to love and support his woman while she was doing what needed to be done. When Anna apologizes for things being “so crazy,” this is his response. If a guy said this to me when I’m feeling overwhelmed it would be beyond meaningful.

“You are the one you’ve been waiting for all of your life.” – Show Yourself

This is a lyric from the song “Show  Yourself,” when Elsa is trying to figure out who she is and searching for answers. She ultimately discovers it’s not someone else who will give her strength or the ability to cope – it’s herself. Pretty awesome.

“Up til now the next step was a question of ‘how’, I never thought it was a question of ‘whether.'” – Kristoff

This is a lyric from Kristoff’s song “Lost in the Woods.” In this song he’s struggling with his relationship with Anna and how it should move forward. I think many people have moments of doubt in their relationships – that’s totally normal. Here Kristoff has that moment where he’s always thought it was just a matter of how they would be together (engaged?), but now that she seems so busy and is running off without him all the time those doubts of whether or not they’ll be together forever are creeping in.

“I’ve always been so different, normal rules did not apply. Is this the day, are you the way I finally find out why?” – Elsa

Another quote from earlier in the song “Show Yourself.” Elsa confronts her feelings about being different and how she can’t live by normal rules. I think it’s a nice throwback to the lyrics in “Let it Go” when she sings “no right, no wrong, no rules for me.”

“I wish it would stay this way forever. Fall mocks us with change.” -Olaf

Olaf provides a lot of laughs in this movie, but he’s also strangely wise in many ways. Everyone seems very content in the beginning of the film, but they are heading into fall. Like the changing leaves it certainly seems a time to realize that not everything will always stay the same.

“Fear can’t be trusted.” -Elsa

I love this quote too. We can’t trust how fear makes us feel because it’s usually getting in the way of what’s right. We have to confront and conquer our fears, not give in to them. It also shows that Elsa has come a long way from the fear that controlled so much of her life in the first movie.

“When will you see yourself as I see you?” -Anna

Anna says this to Elsa, and I’m sure so many of us can relate to this. When we see friends or loved ones feeling down on themselves, but to us they are incredible, wonderful people. 

“You feel what you feel and those feelings are real.” -Sven (aka Kristoff)

Sven’s got some wisdom for you! “Sven” says this is response to Kristoff’s question of “why is love so hard?” And feelings are real, and difficult, and complicated. And it’s awesome to see a male character openly battling with that in this film.
