We are two months out from the Disneyland half marathon and I am very excited to do it now! This week, week 10, was a successful one for me. I’m finally feeling good about my running again. I went up to the Poconos this weekend and got to see some beautiful scenery while running.
On Sunday I did my half hour run and kept a very good pace at 10:36.
Wednesday was not as good – I think it was still to close to when I ate, so I was a bit slower.
My Friday run, however, was great! It was cooler up in the mountains and I just had a great run overall – I did 9.5 miles with an 11:10 pace and it felt so good! Plus I got to run around lakes and just really nice, interesting scenery. It’s so funny to think that on Wednesday I could only manage a 2.7 mile run, but on Friday I did 9.5 at the same pace!

I am not really a runner. I’m trying to get better, but it is really hard for me. I’m going to keep working at it, though. Good luck with the half marathon!

I had no idea Disney did a marathon running event! My interest is definitely peaked! 🙂
Oh yes, they have a bunch! Out in California they have a general Disneyland weekend, as well as Star Wars, Tinkerbell, and Avengers themed race weekends. And then Disney World in California has their marathon weekend, a princess themed weekend, and a Food/Wine weekend. They’re the best races!
