When I’m running 11 miles, I know I’m getting close to my trip and the half marathon! My costume is coming together, and in case you didn’t see it I have a review of the Etsy shop that made my costume up, as well as a giveaway! She’s done the most amazing Esmeralda skirt and I’m so excited about it! Now I have to work on my shirt.
Here’s this week’s runs. I got them all done!
Monday I woke up a lot earlier than I normally would to get a run in before it got hot (especially since I didn’t have to work until 1, it was hard to drag myself up at 6:30!). And we had some really hot/humid weather and it was already 80 degrees and heavy by the time I did this run, but I got it done.
Wednesday I waited until the evening to run and it had cooled down a little by that point and I had a successful 30 minute run.
On Friday I tackled the 11 mile one. When I do these longer runs it’s never about the time, it’s just about getting them done. That being said, I’m happy with the time because it’s about on par with what I did my half in February. And while it wasn’t exactly a fun run, I didn’t feel as much pain as I had during some of the long training runs back then. I’ll take it!
Good luck to you! I will follow your journey as a Disney half is on my bucket list too!
Good luck!! I can’t wait to hear about it. Disney races are so fun! I did the marathon there a few years ago. Never again LOL!
