It’s been hot this week! Definitely makes running more challenging, especially when I’m not a morning person. I like to post updates about my costume if I’ve done anything with it. I can tell you I’m going to have an awesome running skirt and I can’t wait to share it with you!! But that will be coming. For now, I picked up a headband at an expo. It’s a bondi band. I wanted a thick pink headband to go with Esmeralda’s pink wrap in her hair. They didn’t have any plain ones so I picked one with a sun on it – I feel like there were a lot of sun symbols in the Hunchback of Notre Dame so it worked.
This week was supposed to be a relatively easy week, but I struggled and I’m not sure why. I’m getting nauseous a lot when I run. No matter what I eat I feel sick while running, and this wasn’t a problem before. Any suggestions on what to eat beforehand? I’ve been trying lots of things and experimenting.
Sunday’s run was not too bad. Maybe not the best I’ve had recently but certainly not the worst.
Wednesday was really tough because I was feeling sick to my stomach. The one thing that got me through it was that my husband accompanied me for some of the run. He doesn’t really run so he walked when I walked and took some shortcuts to meet up with me later. It was so awesome to look forward to seeing him after running some portions, it really kept me going.
My “long” run was 4 miles, which really isn’t very long, but again I was sick to my stomach. I had to take a fairly long walk break in the middle so that’s why my time was slower.
What do you eat before a run?
Found you while looking for a 10 miler training plan to complement my training for the Goofy Challenge next year. Thank you, thank you for documenting your training. I had to read your ToT training!
I’m so glad it could be of help! Sometimes I wonder if anyone else really cares about my training, but it’s a good way to keep myself accountable. And even better to know that it helped you too!
