This past month we had a lot of Disney news, thanks to the announcements at D23! I’ll go over some of the highlights below, but I’ll do more in-depth posts soon too (I already have my Magic Kingdom expansion post updated). Since I got to attend D23 myself, I’m sharing what the experience was like, plus some highlights from the panels I attended and visiting Disneyland. Coming soon!
I also wanted to mention that I am currently fundraising for the American Cancer Society by running the Princess Half Marathon race weekend. If you are inclined to donate, I have a special Disney thank you gift going for the month of September. Anyone who donates will get a handcrafted gift package made by me. Details are below, and you can donate by visiting this link.
And now, on to the news!

Disney rumors
Magic Kingdom // Tomorrowland in Disneyland was announced to be getting a redo, but no mention for Disney World. Some are suggesting that a new version of Tomorrowland will come to Florida once Disneyland’s is finished. This might include updating Space Mountain and getting rid of the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Hollywood Studios // Will Hollywood Studios be getting a new fireworks show? Some have reported seeing fireworks testing happening late night in the parks. There is some speculation that it might be a holiday show for Jollywood Nights.
Disneyland // The Avatar Land coming to California is still supposedly in the works, but we haven’t heard much about it. Due to that, and the announcement of other Disneyland projects, many are guessing that we probably won’t see the opening of Avatar over there until 2030 or later.
