This month is a bit lighter of a news month. Come mid-August is when I expect we will be bursting with new announcements, since the D23 Ultimate Fan Event happens in California! I’ll be attending, and I can’t wait to experience everything. It will be my first time at the event since 2015. While it may not be quite as exciting as 2024, when they made some massive announcements about Monstropolis, Tropical Americas, Villains Land, and more, I suspect we’ll get more details on those projects and some other announcements.

Disney rumors
Magic Kingdom // It’s possible that Space Mountain might see a bigger, long-term refurbishment project soon (similar to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad). With TRON now drawing many of the Tomorrowland crowds, it would be a good time to update the track.
Animal Kingdom // Since fans are hoping for some big announcements at D23, a lot of speculation is happening about potential opening dates. Many people think we might see an opening date announced for Tropical Americas, sometime in 2027.
Disney Cruise Line // It also seems extremely likely that we will get some cruise line updates at D23. With so many new ships debuting in the next few years, we might get some details about stage shows and restaurants. Many people also think we’ll see the announcement of a new port for DCL (New York is a popular rumor).
