Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Blue Loop. Today we are sharing Disney packing printables to help you decide what to bring on your Disney trip.
About 5 years ago I was preparing for my wedding and the honeymoon – we were married in New York on September 3rd and then it was off to Disney World on September 4th! Â With so much going on with the wedding you want to stay as organized as possible so you don’t forget anything. Â That’s why I make a packing list for every trip I go on, but especially for big ones like this!
So if you’re headed on your Disney honeymoon, an anniversary trip, or any romantic vacation, I’ve got a printable packing list here that you can use. Â It includes some of the basics that I make sure to bring on every trip, as well as a section just for special items for the honeymoon! Â Below I’m also going to highlight some of these and explain why I added them to the list.
For a larger, printable version of this list, click here!
Dresses/skirts – for when you want to feel dressed up, or going to a signature restaurant! Â I know some people prefer shorts and tank tops for the parks, but I like throwing on a dress or skirt once in awhile because I like an excuse to dress up. Â You can throw shorts on underneath and still be comfortable and cute for your honeymoon! Â If you’re going to dinner at a signature restaurant, especially at a resort, you may want to dress up a little more for that (though it’s not required). Â Victoria and Albert’s is the only place with a real dress code, so if you’ve got a reservation there make sure to have nice clothes (for men, a jacket) for that.
Matching/coordinating shirts – it might be cheesy but it’s your honeymoon! Â So grab some shirts from Etsy or the Disney Store. Â You could go simple with shirts that say bride/groom, or there are lots of cute Disney ones: “I’m her Mickey/I’m his Minnie,” “My favorite Disney prince(ss) is my husband(wife),” “Just Hitched” (with the Haunted Mansion hitchhiking ghosts) and other great ideas are out there!
Lingerie – This is pretty self-explanatory I think. Â It is your honeymoon after all, so take some time to relax!
Bride/groom mouse ears – you can buy these in the parks or get them from the Disney Store ahead of time and bring them with you. Â It’s a great way to let people know you’re celebrating and maybe get a little extra pixie dust for celebrating a special occasion!
Just married buttons – Disney actually doesn’t make the Just married buttons anymore, but you can still find them on eBay or have some custom made through Etsy. Â If you wait til you get the parks you can also get a “happily ever after” button.
Make-up – for many this may be on the regular packing list, but for me I don’t wear make-up all that often (and usually not in the theme parks). Â But you’ll probably be taking more photos than usual for this trip, so you may want to remember to at least bring some of the essentials – and maybe foundation with sunscreen in it already!
Items for autographs – If you like meeting characters, you can also get some great interactions when they know you’re celebrating something special. Â Consider bringing a unique item to have them sign. Â My personal favorite is a picture frame mat. Â The characters can all sign it and then when you get home you can put it in a frame with your favorite honeymoon photo!
Wine – if you’re driving or have a good way to pack it, consider a bottle of wine for a relaxing afternoon or evening in the room or on the balcony. Â Drinks are pretty expensive on Disney property and if you like to indulge but don’t want to spend a ton of money, bringing your own bottle for your room is a nice option, and a good way to unwind after a busy day in the theme parks!
What’s one item you bring with you when taking a trip with your significant other?

Lingerie? I guess this is the woman’s packing list, lol! Now, I’m wondering whether there is such a thing as Disney lingerie……..interesting……..
A “Just Married” button sounds cool actually, I gotta remember that for when my turn comes around, lol!
Haha yeah – I actually think there is a thing as Disney lingerie, though I feel like that’s going a little too far for me lol.
A honeymoon at Disney! Such fun!!!
Yes, ours was so much fun!
Such a great list! We only went on a mini-honeymoon to Vegas after we were married. I wish we would have brought some matching shirts like you mentioned.
Aww! Yeah, the matching shirts are a good way to get a little extra attention on your honeymoon 🙂
So handy to have! I usually keep an ongoing list for family vacation needs, but you totally need a little something extra when you go to Disney!
Yeah, there are a couple of items that I don’t bring when I travel to other places, just to Disney – I even keep a little separate bag with them now so I’m ready to go!
Love this! My husband and I do a kid free Disneyland trip at least once a year, so this is definitely going to come in handy. Pinning for the future!
That is a great idea! There is something special about doing a trip just for the grown-ups, without kids.
I wish I could have convinced my husband to have a Disney honeymoon! Really starts the marriage off on a fun note 🙂
It did, our Disney honeymoon was so much fun!
We did a three-day Disney honeymoon (a mini moon) before our big trip to Australia. Unfortuantely, in 1989 some of the fun extras (mouse ears with veil and wedding buttons) were not readily available. When I finally convince my husband to renew our vows there, your list will be coming with me Becky!
a short trip to Disney followed by Australia sounds like an amazing honeymoon experience! Hopefully you can renew your vows at Disney (I’m hoping to someday convince my husband to do that too!).
Had no idea you had Honeymooned at Disney. We did too. Probably one of the best trips ever. It was so relaxing and we were spoiled by Disney (because of those button)
We honeymooned part of the time in WDW, but were so broke we didn’t need anything special for dinners or anything! It was PBJ for us. ?
Like others, we do make it a point to take kid-free trips though, so I’ll be saving this list!
