Disbox subscription box review – August 2020

Disbox - Disney in your Day

It’s been awhile since I’ve discovered a new Disney subscription box – there are a few popular ones that have been around for awhile, but something new and different is always fun. So I was very excited when I discovered Disbox! Not only is it another Disney subscription box option, it’s one that supports other small businesses with the items inside. To me, this makes it even better!

There are lots of amazing small shops out there with creators who make things inspired by Disney. If you browse on Etsy you can find shirts, ears, candles, and so much more. It’s amazing and many times I find that these items are better than souvenirs you can get directly from Disney.

I’m going to get into the details of what was inside soon, but I have to say overall I was thrilled with Disbox. Everything in it was something I really liked and things I would actually use. If this sounds good to you I recommend checking it out – plus you can get 10% off with the coupon code BECKY10!

I got the Neverland box, which is their mid-level tier and goes for $74.99. Each of these boxes includes a guaranteed t-shirt, pin, and mouse ears as well as 3 or more additional items.

If you prefer video, I put together a little unboxing video, but I’ll also go over the items I received here:

Now let’s take a look at what’s inside my August Disbox!

Before I even get into the items, I want to mention the box itself. It’s really a beautifully designed box – it’s made to look like Walt’s suitcase and it has a print that looks like stickers from various locations. You can tell the time and care that goes into curating this box by their attention to detail with the box itself.

There was an adorable pair of mouse ears that immediately caught my eye when I opened the box from Cali and Me Boutique. They are beautiful with sequined ears and a rose gold colored bow. I put them on for awhile and found them to be quite comfortable – they are lighter than the ones from the parks, which I think would be easier to wear or carry around all day. There was also a cute Mickey tee included. It’s got a nice classic look to it – can’t go wrong with some Mickey Mouse!

Up next was a bath bomb from Kingdom Bath. It’s scented like the Polynesian and has a floral scent to it, with notes of Hibiscus, White Amber, Bamboo, Grapefruit, and Plumeria. I’m a huge fan of bath bombs – if you read the blog regularly you know that I’m a runner, so relaxing in a bath with a bath bomb after a long run is one of my favorite things. Can’t go wrong with one that reminds me of the Polynesian!

Continuing with the bath items, there was also a bar of soap from Mickey’s Suds and Scrubs. This is definitely one of the cutest soaps I’ve ever seen as it looks just like a Mickey waffle! It has a nice light scent to it as well. This is what I mean about this box being cute but also stuff you’ll actually use – everyone (hopefully) uses soap! And luckily I’m a big fan of Mickey waffles because there was also a waffle scented candle from C-and-E Craft Co. It has a delightful maple scent.

In addition to all of this there were a few other small items in the box. There was a lovely postcard with a beautiful print of the castle from photographer Ernie Carr, a pin with Roo from Winnie the Pooh, and a coupon book with discount codes for a number of shops included in this box – plus the coupons were designed to look like the old ticket books! Another example of how much thought and effort went into the creation of this box.

If this looks like something you would enjoy, order your own at the Disbox website. Don’t forget to use the code BECKY10 for 10% off your order!

What is your favorite item from my Disbox?
