Christmas at Disney Springs

Christmas at Disney Springs - Disney in your Day

I don’t know that Disney Springs has done all that much to celebrate Christmas before.  Maybe a few things here and there, but this year they’re taking it to another level with all of the holiday stuff they have to offer.  If you happen to be there you can go on a gift hunt with Stitch, see a new drone holiday show, meet Santa, and walk through a trail of Christmas trees.  I was able to do two of these the evening I was there.

The little show they offer for the holidays is a new take on a nighttime show because it’s done entirely with drones.  I had no idea what to expect, but it was pretty cool.  Before they lit up you couldn’t really see the drones at all, but then they came to life like tons of stars in the sky.  They changed colors, moved to create different formations, and interacted with the Christmas music that was playing.  It was very neat to see, and feels like it might just be the beginning of a new type of technology Disney can use for its show to do truly incredible things.

The Christmas tree trail was an adorable walk through part of Disney Springs that was all different Christmas trees, each themed to a different Disney movie.  Most of them focused on Princess movies, but there were a good amount of others too.  I personally loved the Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and Princess and the Frog ones (not surprising since those are some of my favorite movies).  Take a stroll thorugh these magical Disney trees with me through photographs:

I love that Disney just keeps adding more little extra things like this.  I’m guessing a good amount of people don’t even know all of these things are here.  But they are fun to see and do, and really get you into the holiday spirit!

I am so jealous as I have always wanted a Disney Christmas. I am willing to forget the gifts and travel. I know it is busy, but I MUST see it.

I know what you mean! One year, even though it will be crazy crowded, I’m going to have to be at Disney for Christmas.

I think I like Frozen best. They are all very pretty. I love Christmas lights and decorations. It would have to be truly magical in person!
