Bucket List: Stay in a Pirate Room

December 18, 2013 by Becky 4 Comments

Disney Bucket List (1)

**Note:  I stayed in a Pirate room in December 2013.  The rooms have since been updated and redone a little bit, though the pirate theme is still there!

I love good themeing.  So when I heard about the pirate rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort, I knew I would want to stay in one someday.  When we went down this past week we had the chance to finally do that!  I was super impressed by the details of the room.  It was everything that I hoped it would be.  Though I rather feel like every room in a Disney resort should be this detailed and well done, but I’m glad that they at least have it as an option.  I bet that young boys (and girls!) would absolutely love to stay here.  I have to admit I was overly excited about sleeping in a pirate ship!stay in a pirate room

I think something like this is best explained through photos, so here we go!

Yup, the bed is a pirate ship.

The bedspread is treasure.

The table is a compass.

Those crates are actually drawers, and the barrel is a mini fridge.

The curtain to the bathroom area is pirate themed too.

You'll find this design inside the shower.

Even the floor carpet is designed to look like wooden planks!

Which resort do you think is the best themed?  Have you stayed in a pirate room before?

I did get to stay in a Pirate Room at Caribbean Beach Resort! My favorite parts were the treasure bedspread and the plank floors.

I hope to someday stay in a Royal Guest Room at Port Orleans Riverside!

I know! We are going to be staying at a Royal Room in February – it’s only for two nights but I’m still so excited! I’ll take lots of pictures 🙂

About Me

Hi, I'm Becky!

I'm a huge Disney fan in my early 30's and always trying to find a way to put a little bit of Disney into everyday life. I live in Pennsylvania but travel to the theme parks several times a year - I'm an annual passholder at Disney World! In addition to Disney I love traveling, running, and theater.
