Bucket List: Do a photo shoot at a Disney resort

bucket list - photo shoot at resort

It took me awhile to get around to posting this, but one of the things I’ve crossed off my Disney Bucket List was doing a photo shoot at a Disney resort!  We did ours in August 2013 for our 2nd anniversary, and our photographers were the amazing David and Vicki Arndt.  They take incredible photos and are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.  I can’t recommend them enough if you’re considering a resort photo shoot!

We chose Art of Animation because we really wanted a Disney feel to our photos.  It was so fun!  They also asked if we wanted any props or had anything we wanted to bring, so we got a Mickey balloon for a couple of photos.  Also, since I’m a librarian and love reading, I brought a book of fairy tales from when I was a child.  Those were some of my favorite photos with that book.

I’ll really just let the photos speak for themselves:

If you did a photo shoot at a Disney resort, where would you choose to do it?

I didn’t know you could do this! I’m SO making my husband do this in October (assuming we make it there this year). Though I can’t decide which resort I’d choose. I want to say Animal Kingdom Lodge, but thinking about it, there may not be that many areas we could use. Maybe Grand Floridian? I have a thing for Mary Poppins.

    Anyway–gorgeous photos!

Thanks! I think you could get some really nice photos at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but the Grand would be beautiful too. For a little extra money some photographers will do two locations, so you could get shots at both if you wanted 🙂 I’ve seen beautiful engagement/anniversary/wedding pictures at almost all of the Disney resorts. You really can’t go wrong!

All of your photos came out so great! I would love to do a photoshoot with a photographer – Art of Animation is definitely the perfect resort for fun photos with characters. The day after my husband and I got engaged, we walked around AoA and took photos of each other, but didn’t have anyone to get a photo of the two of us…until a group of teenage girls saw our “Just Engaged” buttons and lost their minds with glee and insisted we get a photo with Rafiki. They took a few for us and now we at least have some with the two of us in them!
