Tsum tsum subscription box – December 2015

Tsum tsum subscription box - Disney in your Day

This month is the second one for the official Disney tsum tsum subscription box!  Tsum tsums are becoming more popular than ever, with some series being sold out within minutes of going up for sale online.  If you’re not familiar with them, check out my post on an Introduction to Tsum Tsums!

If you’re into the exclusive aspect and want to collect tsum tsums, Disney has created this subscription box.  For $24.95 a month you get a box delivered to your door.  The box will contain one mini sized tsum tsum and one small tsum tsum.  The mini one will be an exclusive one to the box, meaning that you won’t be able to buy it anywhere else.  The small one may be another character that is already available in tsum tsum form, but the small size is not available outside of the subscription so that also makes it an exclusive item.

The first box contained a small Mickey and a mini Oswald. This box contained two Minnie Mouses.

I won’t lie, I was slightly disappointed to see that not only did this box contain two of the same character, but it was a very common character (Minnie Mouse).  The mini one is considered “exclusive” because she is in a pink dress, and you can’t get that anywhere else.  She’s also winking.

The “small” one is just like ones they make in other sizes, but the subscription box is the only way to get this particular size.

Overall I really think that for the price of the box, Disney is going to have to step up their game with what they are sending.  Having characters that are already available but in a different size or different color outfit just isn’t going to cut it, at least for me.  I would love to see some actual rare characters that you can’t get anywhere else.  I’ll subscribe for at least one more month but what they send in January will be very telling for if I continue the subscription.

What do you think of tsum tsums?  Do you have any?

These are cute! They had a huge display of these at Target- little and big, and my kids just loved them! This box tho seems a bit overpriced. I’m with you on this one.

Yes, they have a ton of them at Target now! It’s really nice because they will sometimes have older ones that sold out at the Disney Store, so finding them at Target is really cool.

I had never heard of tsum tsum before! But from viewing the photos I completely agree with you that for a subscription price of $24.95 Disney really needs to up their game and send consumers two higher-quality products. Additionally, the two products should be different, with the larger one being a character that is rare.

Very cool, I had no idea this was a thing! $25 is definitely more than I pay for subscription boxes, but I’m excited to see what character you get next time!

Thanks, I’m excited too! Though if it’s like 2 Donald Ducks or something that might be the end of the subscription 😉
