Mail the Magic: Disney pin subscription box

September 15, 2016 by Becky 4 Comments

This box was provided to me for free by Mail the Magic.  All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Mail the Magic - Disney in your Day

Are you into the pin collecting craze at Disney?  If you don’t know about it, pin collecting and trading is really big at the theme parks.  They sell tons of pins, and you can trade with any of the cast members, who all wear lanyards with pins on them (you can also trade with any other guests who might be willing).  I myself try to buy one or two pins every trip and have a small collection of them, though I don’t do much trading.

So when I heard about a new Disney subscription box called Mail the Magic, which specializes in Disney pins, I knew I had to check it out.  Not only do I like the pins myself but I know a lot of people who collect them who might be interested in something like this!

One of the problems with pin collecting is that sometimes you’ll come across cheap, fake pins that are being passed off as official Disney pins.  There are ways to tell fakes, but not everyone knows how to do that.  The majority of pin boxes from Mail the Magic are purchased directly from Disney World so you don’t have to worry about that.  The one box that sells gently used trader pins inspects them to make sure they are official Disney pins.

Mail the Magic offers a variety of different boxes perfect for all pin collectors.  They also have specialty boxes if you’re looking for a certain type of pin.  One of the boxes that seems really appealing to me is the Seasonal Box, which sends you two pins from any of the special events or holidays happening in the parks, like Flower and Garden, Halloween, Christmas, etc.  This is such a great solution for pin collectors who don’t live in the area and can’t get to Disney for all the special events, but still might want the pins.

I received the Limited Edition box, which costs $39 a month and includes one limited edition pin and 1 official booster pin.  The limited edition pin will be a recent one, usually within the last month, so you know you’re not getting some pin from two years ago or anything like that.  Here are the pins I received:

Flower and Garden Festival 2016 – Flower and Garden is one of my absolute favorite events at Disney World, so of course I was thrilled to see this pin.  This was the limited edition pin that I received.  I actually attended Flower and Garden this year and bought a pin, but it was a different design than this one.  So I’m very excited to add this to my collection!

The other booster pin I received was Figaro.  I don’t talk about my cats much on the blog because they don’t have a lot to do with Disney, but I *may* be a little bit of a crazy cat lady.  I love the Disney cats and Figaro is too cute, so this was another pin that was quite appropriate for me.

I think Mail the Magic is a great option for pin collectors to keep up with their hobby and get a fun surprise in the mail!  I like that they have so many options to choose from, so you can select what’s right for your collection and budget.  Disney pins are gorgeous, basically like works of art, and great souvenirs.  If you like pins check out Mail the Magic today!

Do you collect Disney pins?  Which pin is your favorite?

I love everything Disney and these pins are too cute. I’m afraid I can become somewhat obsessive with things so I’d go broke trying to get them all. LOL. But I may just have to try it out. I had no idea this was a thing. Love it 🙂

I didn’t know about this pin craze at Disney! But, it’s been ages since I’ve been. Can’t wait until my kids are old enough so we can all have fun when we go!

This is awesome! I’ve never gotten super into pin collecting because I know how easy it would be to get carried away and spend a million dollars but I do love picking up the occasional cute pin!

Awesome pins! My husband really wanted to collect these whenever we went to Disney. If we went to Disney more often I think we would try to collect them!
