Epcot Food and Wine Festival seafood crawl

September 19, 2019 by Becky 3 Comments

Sure, you could do a pub crawl around Epcot or the Food and Wine Festival to try different beers or drinks… but why not do something a little different instead? People have been doing cupcake crawls and dessert crawls around Disney World for awhile, but I thought it would be fun to focus on something else: seafood! And all the great seafood related dishes around the Food and Wine Festival.

I love all sorts of seafood, from fish to shellfish. In fact, back in the day when we wrote trip reports in the DIS boards instead of blog posts, my trip report about my honeymoon was titled “Honeymoon Lovers and Seafood Lovers.” So I’m always excited to see what seafood items the Food and Wine festival is serving up each year.

I’ve tried to arrange the foods in an order where you could actually go booth by booth according to the festival map.

Presenting: the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Seafood Crawl!

Active Eats – Spice-crusted Verlasso® Salmon with UNCLE BEN’S® Quinoa & Ancient Grains Medley, Crushed Avocado and Sherry Vinegar: the Food and Wine Festival booths always seem to do a surprisingly good job with salmon, and combined with avocado and sherry vinegar it sounds really good.

Coastal Eats – Baked Shrimp and Scallop Scampi Dip with Sourdough Baguette: This dish is very tasty, but seafood is of course the specialty at Coastal Eats so you can’t go wrong with anything (or everything) from this location.

Wine and Dine Studio – Seared Scallops, Truffled Celery Root Purée, Brussels Sprouts and Wild Mushrooms: Scallops are one of my absolute favorite kind of seafood, and it’s great you can find them here.

Australia – Grilled Sweet and Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pineapple, Pepper, Onion and Snap Peas: A great option for those who are a little less adventurous when it comes to seafood.

Brazil – Moqueca: Brazilian Seafood Stew featuring Scallops, Shrimp and White Fish with Coconut-lime Sauce and Steamed Rice: a great variety of different seafood options served up in one dish!

Japan – Spicy Roll: Tuna and Salmon Sushi topped with Volcano Sauce: Sushi is one of my favorite things ever and you can’t miss a good spicy roll!

Hops and Barley – New England Lobster Roll: Warm Lobster with Fresh Herb Mayonnaise and Griddled Roll: This lobster roll is surprisingly good for a food booth item, with lots of pieces of warm lobster meat included.

Spain – Seafood Salad with Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Mussels, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic Vinegar and Smoked Paprika: A similar idea to the one found in Brazil but with different flavoring.

Spain’s Seafood Paella from 2017

Africa – Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous: African flavors are the best, so when you combine them with seafood you know you have a winner!

Hawaii – Grilled Tuna Tataki with Seaweed Salad, Pickled Cucumbers and Wasabi Cream: The ahi tuna lovers will find their fix in hawaii with this tasty dish.

Check out these other great crawls around the Epcot Food and Wine Festival too!

This post is making me really hungry. This food looks so good. I will have to try to get to this Festival the next time I am at the Epcot Center

The scallops at Wine and Dine Studio were amazing. The celery root puree was silky smooth and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Its probably my favorite seafood dish at F&W this year.
