Sure, you could do a pub crawl around Epcot or the Food and Wine Festival to try different beers or drinks… but why not do something a little different instead? People have been doing cupcake crawls and dessert crawls around Disney World for awhile, so I thought it would be fun to focus on something I really love: chocolate! And all the great chocolate related dishes around the Food and Wine Festival.
If you’re a chocolate lover like me, here are the booths you’ll want to stop at and the items you want to order! Whether it’s a rich chocolate dessert, drinking chocolate, or something with just a hint of chocolate, these dishes are sure to cheer you up and bring some extra magic to your day.
I’ve tried to arrange the foods in an order where you could actually go booth by booth, but we don’t have a festival map yet this year so I’m basing it off of last year’s map.
Presenting: the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Chocolate Crawl!
The Chocolate Studio – Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey-Caramel (GF): Obviously the Chocolate Studio needs to be a major stop… and the dish has been a winner for a few years now.
The Chocolate Studio – Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart with Whipped Cream: Another option at the Chocolate Studio if you want something with a bit of fruit flavor added.
Ireland – Guinness Bailey’s Shake: despite the fact that it feels pretty overpriced for the size you get, it was totally worth it. Once of the best drinks that I had at the festival last year.
Ireland – Warm Chocolate Pudding with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard: Yup, chocolate is going to be even better with an Irish Cream Liqueur Custard.
Belgium – Chilled Coffee featuring Godiva Chocolate Liqueur: What better way to have coffee than with a little chocolate? Especially refreshing if it’s a hot day.
Belgium – Golden Malted Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache and Whipped Cream: Go for a dessert waffle in Belgium!
Morocco – Chocolate Baklava: Rolled Phyllo Dough with Toasted Almonds and Dark Chocolate Sauce: If you want something a little lighter on the chocolate but still including it, the baklava is a great option with the chocolate sauce drizzled on top.
Mexico – Capirotada de Chocolate: Chocolate Bread Pudding served with Chocolate Abuelita Crème Anglaise: This is a new one this year but it sounds pretty delicious.
The Chocolate Experience – Ghirardelli® Drinking Chocolate: There’s a whole display about chocolate here. So get a free sample, check out the amazing chocolate sculptures, and enjoy some rich drinking chocolate.
