Sure, you could do a pub crawl around Epcot or the Food and Wine Festival to try different beers or drinks… but why not do something a little different instead? People have been doing cupcake crawls and dessert crawls around Disney World for awhile, but I thought it would be fun to focus on something I really love: cheese! And all the great cheese related dishes around the Food and Wine Festival.
If you’re a cheese lover like me, here are the booths you’ll want to stop at and the items you want to order! Whether it’s a cheese plate paired with wine or a warm cheese soup, your cheese loving heart will be happy with this.
I’ve tried to arrange the foods in an order where you could actually go booth by booth, but we don’t have a festival map yet this year so I’m basing it off of last year’s map.
Presenting: the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Cheese Crawl!
Active Eats – Loaded Macaroni & Cheese with Nueske’s® Pepper Bacon, Cheddar and Leeks: you can’t go wrong with a good mac and cheese, and this is the best one you’ll find in Epcot.
The Cheese Studio – Black Pepper Boursin® Soufflé with Fig Marmalade: of course the cheese studio is going to have a lot of options for cheese lovers, but this item is new this year and sounds particularly interesting.
Wine and Dine Studio – Trio of Artisan Cheese (V) Gorgonzola with Cow and Sheep’s Milk, Artigiano Aged Balsamic & Cipolline Onion, Italico – you can get the cheese by itself or get it with the wine pairings!
Refreshment Port – Duck Confit Poutine with Fig Demi Sauce and Brie Cheese Fondue: the Poutine at the Refreshment Port is always a large portion and great for sharing.
Canada – Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll: This is a classic that you don’t want to miss, whether you’ve had it before or not.
Ireland – Warm Irish Cheddar Cheese and Stout Dip with Irish Brown Bread: even if the weather is warm you don’t want to miss this warm Irish cheese dip. Even if you run out of bread it’s worth eating with a spoon.
France – Fondue Savoyarde: Fondue of Imported Cheeses and Chardonnay served with Croutons: This is another new item this year that sounds pretty amazing!
Brazil – Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread: these pastry puffs filled with cheese are delicious… and even if you can’t make it to the Festival you can find the recipe here.
Islands of the Caribbean – Quesito: Puff Pastry with Sweetened Cream Cheese and Guava Sauce: for a bit of a cheesy dessert, try the Quesito made with sweet cream cheese.
The Alps – Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette: This entire booth is new this year, and of course the Alps wouldn’t be complete without a nod to some Swiss Cheese!
Have you enjoyed any cheese dishes at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival? Which is your favorite?
The loaded macaroni & cheese and the raclette look the most delicious to me!!
All of these dishes sound delicious. I’d love to try them all!
