Here’s all the info you need about Disney transportation to and from the theme parks!
One of the major perks that is included with staying at a Disney resort is the free transportation to and from the theme parks. While bus is the most common mode of transportation, some of the resorts offer other fun ways to travel. These include the monorail, boats, and the new Skyliner gondolas. Some resorts are even close enough to the theme parks to walk!
If you have a Disney trip coming up with a stay at one of these resorts, you might be wondering about which transportation option to use for each park. I’ve put together a quick guide detailing all of the options at each location. Hope this helps!
Please note: Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and some resorts not being open, certain modes of transportation may be closed for a time. Please double check the Disney website to see which Disney transportation options are up and running.
Here are the current Disney transportation options:
Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian
To get to Magic Kingdom – monorail, walking (from the Contemporary and soon Grand Floridian), boats (from the Grand Floridian and Polynesian)
To get to Epcot – monorail
To get to Hollywood Studios – bus

Notes: If it is a busy time the buses may go directly to the theme park, but at off times they may stop at all 3 of the resorts on this loop. This is great guide! It can be hard to keep it all straight sometimes. I love it when I can walk, instead of having to take transportation. I’m glad to hear they are adding that between the GF and MK.
One of the reasons I prefer staying at a Disney Resort is how easy it is to access all the parks! I once stayed at a non-Disney hotel that offered free shuttle service, but it took forever and I still had to do so much walking. This is such a great guide!
