Happy October! I think it’s a fun month to be a Disney fan, whether you’re at the parks or at home. Lots of great Halloween content is on Disney+, and a Disney-themed Halloween costume is good anywhere! I was lucky enough to visit Disney World last year in October, but this year I’m back home going through all of my Aulani content and getting ready to share more blog posts on that experience (plus trying to decide what Halloween costume to do this year!).
Disney news
- Raya, from Raya and the Last Dragon, has been doing some meet and greets over in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. Though she’s not officially on the schedule, she seems to have popped up more than once in recent times.
- Disney has released the schedule of celebrity narrators for Epcot’s Candlelight Processional.
- Due to some construction in Hollywood Studios, a few character meet and greets will be moved around. Darth Vader will now meet guests by Star Wars, and Chewbacca will have scheduled times in Galaxy’s Edge.
- A few new character meets have popped up in Hollywood Studios too! Mary Poppins, Bert, Pinocchio, and Jiminy Cricket are all meeting at various times outside of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
- Gino, a silverback gorilla who lived at Animal Kingdom since its opening, has passed away at the age of 44.
- A 1-episode revival of The Muppet Show will be coming next year in honor of the show’s 50th anniversary, and will have Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest star.
- The first official trailer for the film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” has been released.

- And in weird news: a man robbed the Disney Springs restaurant Paddlefish in full scuba gear, approaching from the water.
Disney rumors
Muppets // Although the return of The Muppet Show is currently slated to be a 1-episode special, there are some rumors that it’s secretly a pilot to re-launch a new version of the show. Let’s hope that’s the case! And let’s hope the Muppets become wildly popular again and Disney regrets evicting them from their theater in Hollywood Studios…
Disney World // Over in Disneyland California, they’ve gotten rid of the early entry perk for resort guests. Some people are speculating this might happen in Florida too. I personally don’t think it will happen (Disney World is a completely different ballgame from Disneyland), but it’s still something to keep an eye on.
