One of my favorite things about going to Disney is eating! There are so many great restaurants! And while quick service is okay when you’re on the go, I love a good table service restaurant. The chance to sit down, take a break, and enjoy some really good food. It’s hard to pick a top ten, but here are what I would say are my favorite restaurants in Disney World:
-
Sanaa – Animal Kingdom Lodge
Two things about Sanaa – the bread service and the butter chicken. I love to try new things but every time I go to Sanaa I will always get the bread service and the butter chicken. Plus it’s at my favorite resort and you have a view of the animals while you eat. I love pretty much everything about it.
2. Tiffins – Animal Kingdom
The newest restaurant in Animal Kingdom, this signature location completely won me over both times I’ve been there. The food is exotic and incredible quality. I’m not normally a huge steak person, but I had the Wagyu striploin and it was the best beef I’ve had in my life. I dream about my meals at Tiffins. We’ll be headed back in September, which means I’ll have visited on all three of my 2017 Disney trips. I think that says a lot.
3. Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie. So walking into Be Our Guest is a pretty amazing experience for me. I’ve eaten there a number of times and always enjoyed the food (despite what other people might say). Dinner is my favorite, but mostly I just love to be in the atmosphere of the ballroom or the west wing. And meeting the Beast is always fun too!
4. Narcoossee’s – Grand Floridian Resort
Narcoossee’s will always have a special place in my heart because it was not only the first signature restaurant at Disney I ever visited, it was also the first place Jason and I ate at on our honeymoon. And it did not disappoint. I had the whole lobster and it was delicious. We were able to watch Wishes from our table as they pumped the music in, and during daylight you have a lovely water view. And last December I went back for their brunch and was blown away by the delicious food and unlimited drinks there as well!
5. Jiko – Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge’s signature restaurant was a favorite meal for my husband and I. We haven’t had the chance to go back since 2013, but we had a wonderful evening and great food there. In case you can’t tell from this list, I very much enjoy African and Indian inspired cuisine, so this was a win for us.
6. California Grill – Contemporary Resort
California Grill has two great things going for it – the food and the atmosphere. The location is one of the best, being on the 30th floor of the Contemporary with a view down at the Magic Kingdom – including the fireworks. While the food I had there didn’t necessarily stand out in the sense that I’m still thinking about specific dishes, I know that it was all extremely enjoyable and quality. The Sunday brunch is particularly amazing – all the food we had there was excellent!
7. Tokyo Dining – Epcot
I love sushi, and while Tokyo Dining had good sushi it wasn’t the main reason why it makes this list. There are a couple of other smaller factors that played into having a fantastic meal there. One of the only desserts from Disney that I’ve been thinking about for years is the chocolate ginger cake I had there. It might not be for everyone but it was delicious. The service was also wonderful – we were celebrating an anniversary and they even made us origami rings! It was so sweet, and with a lovely view of the Epcot lagoon that was one enjoyable meal.
8. Boma – Animal Kingdom Lodge
Okay, it might be obvious from this list that I love Animal Kingdom and the Lodge. I really thought I wouldn’t include so many on this list, but when it came down to it I found myself without a choice, if I was truly going to choose my favorites. I’ve done both breakfast and dinner at Boma and while I know a lot of people love breakfast, it didn’t do a lot for me. But dinner – dinner is amazing. It’s a huge buffet spread with so many options. I especially love trying all of the different soups and desserts.
9. Via Napoli – Epcot
I personally love Via Napoli because I think it appeals to almost everyone. The brick oven pizza is wonderful, but I particularly love the pizza with prosciutto and melon. A unique but delicious combination! Lots of solid pasta options too. A great place to carb load before a race!
10. Kona Cafe – Polynesian Resort
I will admit that I’ve only done breakfast here, but it lived up to my expectations. The Tonga Toast and the Kona coffee were as good as I hoped they’d be. I’d really like to try lunch or dinner sometime soon too.
This was a really hard list to come up with! There are also some restaurants I haven’t tried that I think I might really enjoy – Flying Fish, Paddlefish, and Victoria and Albert’s, to name a few. And there were a couple that I went back and forth on a number of times.
What are your favorite Disney World table service restaurants?
I have not eaten at Disney World for years. This was fun and even included a bit of a trip down memory lane.
Eating is one of my favorite things to do there!
Via Napoli is on my list too! I’m sad to say that there are loads of restaurants here I am yet to try!

Mmm, I could go for some Via Napoli right now!
Yes, times 10! After all these years, I have yet to hit Tokyo Dining because Teppan Edo is such a hit with my family. One day…
That’s so funny, because I haven’t yet done Teppan Edo because we like Tokyo Dining!
So glad to see that Via made the list! It’s my FAVORITE ! I have yet to visit Sanaa….I think I need to. It shows up on so many “must do” lists.
Via is so good, but Sanaa is my absolute favorite!
Sanaa is my favorite, but we loved Kona for dinner also! They had some amazing scallops! Yummy! Great post full of lots more foodie ideas for my next trip!
I really want to try Kona for dinner – I love scallops so if I see them on the menu I will probably order it!
After seeing this I am ready for a trip to Disney. Thanks for all this great info!
I hope you get the chance to go soon!
This is making me hungry! I haven’t been to Disney in a long time, and when we went our kids were small, so we just ate the more “fast food” type places. We didn’t have time to sit down for a nice dinner, too many rides to go on.
I understand that, sometimes you just need to be in and out! If you ever get the chance to go back, there are so many great restaurants to try.
I would love to go back and enjoy the restaurants and other things!
SO many great restaurants!!! I always stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge when I’m at Disney (because it’s MAGICAL with the animals everywhere) and Boma is hands down my favourite restaurant.
We actually have a Tagine recipe from the first time we visited (like.. 15 years ago ish?). My dad was complimenting the server about it and he went and got the chef for us, who wrote out the recipe and then talked my dad through the tricks of cooking it perfectly.
Only at Disney!

I love Animal Kingdom Lodge so much <3 We are hoping to get DVC there. That's really cool that they gave you a recipe too!
So many amazing picks! I love that you chose so many more unique options that don’t get as much recognition.
Thanks Courtney! I have more unique tastes I think, so some of the more unusual restaurants end up being my favorites.
These all look so delicious! I haven’t been to Disney World since I was a kid (and now live closer to Disneyland) so I haven’t been to any of these!
There is so much in Disney for adults – especially eating good food!
OMG these all look so tasty! I’ve heard amazing things about the Be Our Guest restaurant!
Be Our Guest is wonderful, and it’s so beautiful inside too!
What do you like to eat at Be Our Guest? I’m planning a trip for my family and am thinking about making a reservation there and at Sanaa. I have never been!!
