It’s no secret that I love baby yoda. In fact, he may currently be my second favorite Disney character, beaten out only by the orange bird (who will always be my first love). His cuteness is infectious and honestly he just makes me happy. And we all need a little more happiness in the world. So of course a baby yoda cocktail would make me happy!
What’s also probably not a surprise to anyone is that I love a good cocktail! I’ve hosted a Disney cocktail party before and have created specialty drinks for all of my Disney themed birthday events. So when a nearby distillery posted that they were doing a baby yoda cocktail special one weekend, we of course had to check it out.
The drink was delicious – it was basically like a grasshopper, if you’re familiar with those. They way they described it to us was tasting like a thin mint. So I had to try and recreate it at home! We had a get together the next weekend where we made several cocktails, including this one, and played some Disney related games (including sabaac).
I’m happy to share my baby yoda cocktail recipe with you, so you can create your own tasty drink too!
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce creme de menthe
- 1 ounce creme de cacao (clear)
- 1 ounce cream
- Junior mints
- Lime
Directions:
Combine the creme de menthe, creme de cacao, cream, and ice in a shaker. Cover and shake, then strain into cocktail glass (I used a margarita glass but you could try a martini glass or any other glass that looks like it might work for baby yoda’s head!). Spear two junior mints on a wooden stick and balance them across the top of the glass. Slice a lime and add one lime slice to each side of the glass for his ears.
I recommend removing the limes before drinking as the lime flavor doesn’t exactly go with the minty-ness of the drink. Enjoy!!
Would you enjoy a baby Yoda cocktail?
I would so definitely make this! (Where is the Baby Yoda emoji when I need it?LOL)
