A couple of weeks ago the Disney Parks Blog shared a recipe for chocolate chip cookies from the Grand Floridian. I didn’t even know that chocolate chip cookies from the Grand were a thing, but they looked amazing in the photo. And after seeing that I couldn’t stop thinking about chocolate chip cookies for days. So I decided this past weekend was as good a time as any to try out the recipe!
I know that some people feel like the Grand Floridian is stuffy and too fancy, but I don’t feel that way. To me it feels classic. I love the Victorian themeing to it. And somehow for me chocolate chip cookies fit right into the vibe that I get there. I could grab a cup of tea, some cookies, and sit contentedly in the Grand Floridian lobby listening to the music play.
While I may not be at the Grand Floridian right now, at least I can be enjoying their chocolate chip cookies that I baked myself at home! If you want to make them too, here’s the recipe. It makes about 3 dozen cookies, depending on how generous you are with scooping the dough:
Mine seemed to turn out fluffier than the ones on the Disney Parks blog, which had a thinner appearance. But I don’t think you can go wrong with any sort of chocolate chip cookie, especially when they are fresh and warm from coming right out of the oven!
