If you get the chance to visit a Disney resort during the months of November and December, there’s plenty to do for the holidays – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party, Christmas stories from around the World at Epcot, and (new this year) Jingle Bell, Jingle JAM at Hollywood Studios. But even outside of the parks Disney is all about the Christmas spirit. All of the resorts are decorated for Christmas with décor that matches their themeing, and many have extras like giant gingerbread houses. During my December trip last year, here are the resorts I got to visit to see the Christmas decorations:
Art of Animation
I loved Art of Animation’s tree. It’s a white tree with colorful ornaments, and if you look closely you can see sketches on the tree as well! They also had some fun wreaths hanging up. The lobby has a “rainbow wall,” and each wreath was a different color to match that section of the wall.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
The Animl Kingdom Lodge is stunning any time of year, but with this large gorgeous Christmas tree it’s even more beautiful. I love looking at all of the African inspired ornaments. There’s also garland strung all around the resort with similar decorations.
Beach Club Resort
Disney does some amazing things with Gingerbread – the Beach Club Resort is a great place to see something unique. Here you’ll find their Gingerbread carousels that go up every holiday season!
Grand Floridian Resort
The Grand may well be the Disney resort with the most Christmas decor. They have both a huge tree in the lobby as well as an amazing gingerbread house.
Caribbean Beach resort
Like a tropical twist on Christmas? Visit Caribbean Beach resort and see all their colorful Christmas decor! Trees, wreaths, and garland are decorated in the same bright colors as the resort, and you can find cute sea horses, turtles, and more in there!
Contemporary Resort
The Contemporary is another resort that focuses on amazing gingerbread creations. They’ve done other houses in the past, but the past few years it’s focused on the Frozen craze. The Frozen castle with gingerbread Anna, Elsa, and Olaf all appear!
Polynesian Village Resort
Another lovely tree in the lobby that is very fitting with the Polynesian theme here!
While I didn’t get to every resort, I certainly did many of them! Another one that I would love to go back and see decorated is Fort Wilderness. I hear many of the people on the camp grounds bring their own Christmas decorations and go all out at their camp sites!
