Although I’m a Disney blogger, I often share many of my other interests on here – running in particular, and sometimes clothing (like Stitch Fix),other subscription boxes, and blogging of course! One blog that I really enjoy following is called CuppaGeek – it’s about tea, but with a geeky twist! Nichole writes some great blog posts, and when she contacted me about a tea company subscription box I was very excited, as I love tea.
That company is called Beacon Hill Tea Company, and they have started a monthly subscription box that sends you a variety of loose leaf teas. I got the October box, which contained 4 loose leaf teas in fun fall flavors. There was also a tea infuser originally included in this box, but because I signed up late (totally my fault, I slacked on returning some emails!), they had run out. But the teas were so great that it didn’t bother me in the slightest! I do think it’s fun that they might be including little extras like that in addition to the teas.
So here come my thoughts on the teas (spoiler alert, I thought they were all incredible!). I also thought this might be a good time to show off some of my Disney mugs.
Disclaimer: I received this box free of charge for a review, but all thoughts are entirely my own. I received no additional compensation.
Pumpkin Chai – the smell coming out of the bag when I opened this tea was absolutely amazing. And luckily, the taste of the tea matched the smell! It was a strong scent, full of spices. I could taste the hint of ginger in there too. The instructions also suggested adding milk to try it as a chai tea latte, so I may attempt that next time I make it too.
Autumn Apple – I thought it was so cool when I opened this bag to see that there were actually small pieces of dried apple in here. It tasted so good I even made my husband try it. He’s not a tea drinker but he really enjoyed this as he likes herbal, fruity teas. To me it definitely tasted like apple, but he felt like it tasted like some sort of other fruit (I didn’t tell him what the tea was until after he tried it). And the color of the tea was just gorgeous too!
Green Beads – I will admit that green tea is my least favorite kind of tea, but as far as green teas go this one was definitely pleasant. It was a relaxing tea, if that makes any sense.
Golden Earth – If you’re into black teas without any added crazy flavors, this is a great standard black. It has a strong, bold taste without being bitter or overpowering.
I’ve been loving these teas. Honestly, I look forward to coming home from work in the afternoon and deciding which kind of tea I’ll be brewing to enjoy that day. I think Beacon Hill Tea Company has a great thing going here, and if you’re a fan of tea I highly recommend you check them out!
Which of these teas sounds the best to you?
