Wow, I’ve now been blogging on Disney in your Day for 2 years! Technically the anniversary was yesterday, but I already had a post up so I decided to save this one for today – plus while I created the blog on the 9th, the first post didn’t go up until the 10th. I didn’t even realize it was coming up, but I was scrolling back through July 2014 for a throwback Thursday post and came across the post on my 1 year blog-iversary: and realized it was that date on the calendar! Funny how stuff works out like that sometimes.
My first blog post ever was a review of Monsters University! In these two years I’ve posted 385 posts. I have 1,165 facebook followers and I’ve started accounts on Twitter and Instagram. I’ve started several new series, including my Thoughts on Disney movies, a March Madness Tournament, and a Throwback Thursday blog hop.
In honor of this occasion I wanted to share some of my favorite posts from the past year. These aren’t necessarily the most popular, but just ones that I’m particularly proud of.
I love throwing themed parties, and this may have been one of my best ones yet! Especially all of the food and drink items we created. There was grey stuff, rose cupcakes, and the “burly and brawny” Gaston drink!
While this isn’t strictly Disney related, I did get the chance to visit the Williamsburg Busch Gardens Food and Wine festival. And while doing research for that trip I couldn’t find a lot of info on the festival – specifically, food pics and prices! So I made my own. Hopefully some people in the some position as me were able to find it and use it, as I did put a lot of work into it.
This is probably my favorite costume I’ve created for a race so far, because I tried to get all of the details right! I had the shirt, skirt, cape, and even used black compression socks that I painted to look like her boots. I gave all the details in how I put it together in this blog post.
This one is a little controversial, I know, but I really do feel strongly about it. I’m not going to stop visiting all together, but I do feel like FP+ has hurt my enjoyment of the parks somewhat.
I really enjoy movie reviews and got pretty in-depth with this one, as Into the Woods is my favorite musical of all time and I’m a big theater person.
2014 was my very first time at Epcot’s Food and Wine festival, so I was excited to share a post all about what I ate there!
