A look at 10 great DIY Disney Halloween decorations! (Updated 9/24/21)
I love decorating my home for the holidays. Of course Christmas is big, but I also enjoy the fall, for Halloween and Thanksgiving. And for any holiday, I always try to add some Disney touches to my decorating! So I’ve searched around and found some really cool and fun Disney Halloween decorations – if you’re looking to add a little Disney to your house this autumn, take a look at the inspiration below!
Welcome Foolish Mortals doormat
A great way to welcome people to your house during the spooky season with a Haunted Mansion welcome mat! Easier to make than you think and it holds up through tough weather.

Jack Skellington Window decorations
I love the idea of putting this scene on your window! I may have to do it next year. She used her silhouette machine to do it, and since I have one too it sounds like a great idea!

Jack Skellington Door
Of course it’s no surprise that Nightmare Before Christmas is an extremely popular way to decorate for Halloween. Another idea here is turning your door into Jack Skellington – not only is it pretty simple, but the blog offers free printables for you to make it even easier!
The Evil Queen’s Poison Apple
The Evil Queen is super creepy, so what’s better for Halloween than a few of her poisoned apples used as decorations?
From Chicken Scratch NY
Mickey Halloween Luminaries
If you don’t want anything too scary but still want to decorate for Halloween, these Mickey Luminaries are the perfect option!

Painted Disney Pumpkins
This is my work here, but I love painting Disney themed pumpkins. I use fake pumpkins and do a new one each year so I’m building up quite a collection to put on display!

Mickey Halloween Treat Bag
If the more traditional route of actually carving a pumpkin is more your preference, this blog has a bunch of free templates with many Disney characters, including Mickey, Winnie the Pooh, and Tinkerbell.
From The Farm Girl Gabs
Coco Wreath
I love decorations that can be placed somewhere other than out on a table (I run out of room eventually!). These adorable Mickey bats are perfect because you can hang them from the ceiling – and they’re simple to make with a printable!
From Disney Family
Madame Leota Crystal Ball
The Haunted Mansion is another Disney story/attraction that is perfect for Halloween. Putting the image of Madame Leota into some sort of crystal ball is an easy and fun way to bring the spookiness of the Haunted Mansion into your home!

13 Hour Clock
This one is definitely pretty detailed and intricate, but it looked so cool I just had to share it. They recreated the clock from the Haunted Mansion in amazing detail out of foam. Too cool!

Fall Mickey Wreath
A couple of years ago a friend of mine, Michelle, did a guest post on how she created her own fall Mickey wreath. This one can stay out all the way through Thanksgiving, and you can even easily adjust to it other holidays!

That one is very cute!
Love the Jack Skeleton door!! So cute and easy!
Yes, I love how easy it is!
I didn’t know silhouette machines were even possible to own, and now I want one! That could come in handy for so many different projects around the house- i love it! If I had anything in my body that even remotely resembled artistic talent, I’d give those pumpkin carvings a shot. They look so awesome!
The silhouette machine is great, and so versatile – I can do a lot with mine! I have the silhouette Portrait. You can also cut out iron-on t-shirt designs and other things too!
I love ALL of these! 🙂 I’m not super crafty, but I’ll try anything out to bring some extra Disney magic into my life!
Yeah, and some of them aren’t too difficult!
