You can call him the Child – but I will forever call him baby Yoda. If you haven’t seen The Mandalorian on Disney+, you might be wondering what all of these memes are with baby Yoda. The Mandalorian is a fantastic show (even without the cuteness of baby Yoda) so I highly recommend checking it out. Even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan I think you might like it. No spoilers but I just watched the finale of season 1 and it was amazing.
Baby Yoda is exactly what we need right now. Sometimes the world looks pretty bleak and people never seem to agree. But it seems we can all agree that he is the gosh darn cutest thing ever and I just want to look at him all the time and see all the memes! So of course I was thrilled when I got this mug in a Christmas mug exchange I was part of on facebook! (If you love it as much as I do, you can find the mug on the ShopDisney website).
It has a photo of “the Child” from the Mandalorian on both sides of it, looking extra cute like always. Even if you haven’t seen the show you may recognize this photo from some of the many memes going around the internet. The handle and inside of the mug are green so it gives it a cool look that coordinates well with the colors in the photo. It also has the Mandalorian logo on the bottom.
What’s in my mug: I have yet another coffee from Expedition Roasters! This is a new one for me, their holiday brew. It’s a peppermint mocha and the artwork is done in the style of It’s a Small World with a name to match (the happiest brew that ever sailed!). I’m a big fan of peppermint mocha so of course this is a hit for me.
What I’m currently reading: I’m about halfway through the book Black Spire, which is inspired by Galaxy’s Edge. The plot is about a character named Vi (who you can actually see in the park) who is sent by the Resistance to form a new base there and recruit people. It’s super interesting so far since I’ve been to Galaxy’s Edge a few times – I feel like I know the places Vi is exploring but I’m also learning more about them. The story is interesting so far. It took a little bit to get going but once it did I’m very into it and can’t wait to keep reading. This is actually our book club selection for January, so if you’re interested in reading this and joining us be sure to join the group!
What mug are you using right now? And what are you currently reading?
