When I was planning my trip to Disneyland last month, I decided it was a good time to plan another Disney Bound! If you’re not familiar with what Disney Bounding is, you can read about it here. For this trip I decided to come up with a Moana outfit, and I planned to wear it when we were going to spend some time in Adventureland so I could get some fun pictures.
Moana’s outfit is fairly simple and straightforward, but if done correctly it’s definitely distinctive enough to be recognizable. In fact, before I even got into the parks one of the security guards checking bags recognized it! Here’s how I put together my Moana Disney Bound:

For the top I was looking for either a darker orange colored top or a red one. I searched tons of different styles to decide what might be best. In the end I got my shirt from Primark, but I know there aren’t many of those around in the US. There are some similar options on Amazon such as this one. Speaking of Amazon, that’s also where I got my skirt.
Of course I always say it’s the details and the accessories that really makes a difference in a Disney Bound. For Moana it’s just one or two items but it completes the look. A hair flower clip for just a few dollars on Amazon really brings together the character. The other one is her turquoise necklace! I wanted to use as much as I already owned, so I used a necklace with some turquoise beads I had purchased from a stand by the Grand Canyon. If you’re looking to purchase, once again Amazon comes to the rescue with lots of options, like this beauty!
For shoes I just wore flip flops. In most of the photos Moana is barefoot so I say go with whatever’s comfortable!
