One of my favorite things ever is subscription boxes. If I’m in a “Treat yo’self” sort of mood and I can’t get to the Disney theme parks, a Disney subscription box is the perfect way to add a little magic to my month. And my weakness isn’t just for Disney – I also have subscriptions to boxes for healthy snacks, books, workout clothing, and even underwear! There are so many Disney subscription boxes out there it’s hard to decide which one to go with, but I just signed up to get the Mickey Monthly box again, because it’s consistently been one of my favorites!
Don’t forget to use the code DISDAY to save 20% on your order!
One of the things I love about Mickey Monthly is the fact that you can customize your box a bit. Instead of just getting a random box of Disney stuff you can choose certain preferences that will make the box feel a little more tailored to you. Since I was signing up anyway I thought it might be fun to walk you through all of the options in case you’re thinking about it too!
1. Decide which type of box you want
Yes, there are many options besides just a “Disney box”! I went with the theme park box, because it has items directly from the parks that I can’t necessarily get anywhere else. It definitely feels special to be getting a theme park box!
Other options include a pin box (perfect for pin collectors), a snack box if you just want those delicious Disney goodies, and the original box. The original has Disney items from all sorts of places, not just the theme parks. It’s more affordable than the theme park box so might be a good option if you just want any dose of Disney magic!
And their newest edition is a Funko POP Vinyl subscription. I’m a big fan of POPs, and they Disney ones are so cute. I was getting some great ones in the Disney Treasures box last year, but they discontinued that – so if you’re in the same boat this might be a good option to still get your Disney POP fix every month!
2. Decide which size box you want
Once you decide which type of box you want, you’ll have a choice of sizes. There’s something for every price range and preference. For the theme park boxes there are 4 different sizes. The more you pay, the more you get (of course!). I went with the Mickey box for $49.99 a month.
3. Choose your preferences
Here’s where you get to make some choices to customize your box and determine that the items in it will be suitable for you! There are a number of options that you can choose, including:
- If you want just snacks, just souvenirs, or both
- If you want more typical “male,” “female” or gender neutral items
- The age of the person receiving the box (so adults don’t get toys and kids don’t get kitchenware!)
- How often you’d like to pay – sign up month to month or do a 6 month or 1 year commitment
4. Use discount code DISDAY to save 20%!
Once your box is customized your next step is to pay – but be sure to enter the discount code DISDAY just for Disney in your Day readers! This code is 20% off, which saved me $10 on my monthly subscription! That’s a pretty awesome deal.
5. Wait for your box to arrive!
Now I have to sit back and wait for my box! They usually arrive at the end of the month, so in a few weeks I’ll have a nice surprise on my doorstep. And stay tuned because I’ll definitely be posting a review here on the blog and an unboxing video on YouTube! So we can see exactly the sort of items that you get with a Mickey theme park box with both souvenirs and snacks, gender neutral for adults. I’m confident that there are going to be some great things in there!
Which Mickey Monthly box would you choose?
