Love with Food is a snack box that focuses on organic, good for you boxes. There are several types of boxes that you can order, including the Taster Box, the deluxe box, or a gluten free box. I got the deluxe box, which is $20/month, filled with healthy snacks! This month’s theme was “Fiesta.”
PB Thins ($0.65): These are light, thin peanut butter flavored crackers/cookies. They sort of melt in your mouth and are a great little snack! I love that they are made with healthy/organic ingredients.
Hard candy in Blood Orange and Iced Mango ($0.68): Great orange flavor. Perhaps nothing unusual or different but a good hard candy. The other kind had a more subtle mint flavor with fruit overtones. Something a bit different and tasty!
Lemon Burst Cookies ($0.70): These cookies have a very nice lemon-y taste. They are excellent for being gluten-free. However, there were only 4 in the bag I got and that was over 50 calories – they were small and I would need to eat a lot more, so not sure if they would be satisfying enough for me as a snack without going way over calories.
Pico de Gallo Bean and Rice Chips ($1.25 each): These chips had a very nice flavor – a little bit of spice but not overwhelming. I got two bags in the deluxe box, but unfortunately they must have been crushed because most of the chips were in a little pieces and therefore difficult to eat.
Gluten-free penne pasta (~$0.83): Pasta is probably my favorite food, so I can’t say that gluten-free pasta makes me super excited. The taste is definitely not as good as regular pasta, but if you can’t have gluten then this was certainly decent. Especially with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Chile Picante Inka Corn ($1.54): I was hesitant about these because I don’t like things that are overly spicy, but I thought these were quite good. They definitely had spiciness but not so much that I couldn’t eat them (though I couldn’t eat the whole bag in one sitting due to the spiciness). I loved the flavor!
English & Spanish Educational Snacks ($1.00 each): I thought the concept of these cookies was kind of cool – to teach kids (and adults!) words in a new language while eating cookies. Unfortunately mine came all broken so that aspect of it was ruined. The cookies were fine, they had a decent taste but nothing special. I got two bags of these in my deluxe box.
Freeze Dried Dragon Fruit and Dulce de Leche ($1.88): I really liked the taste of these but there was very little in the bag so I only got a tiny sample. I also thought the dragon fruit and dulce de leche was an odd combo, though they were each really good on their own.
Pop Chips – Veggie Chips ($1.33): I’ve had pop chips before, but not the veggie chips. I like veggie chips and thought these were really good.
Hibiscus Creamed Honey ($0.77 each): I wasn’t crazy about the hibiscus flavor of the honey on its own, but I put some into my tea and it worked as a decent sweetener.
Coconut and pink guava fruit ice ($1.55): This was delicious! I absolutely loved the tropical flavors, and it made the perfect little afternoon snack on a warm day.
Montana Mex Sweet Salt ($8.99): I haven’t actually tried this yet but I’m looking forward to an opportunity. I’m glad we got the sweet one as I’m intrigued as to how this tastes!
I thought the Love with Food box was really neat because I got to try so many new and different products, and I liked pretty much everything (unlike the Bestowed boxes I was getting for a little while). It’s a tad bit pricey for the deluxe box, so after my groupon runs out I’ll have to see if I want to renew, cancel, or maybe downgrade to the tasting box. I calculated the value of this box to be $26.23, which is a little above the cost – a good deal if you end up liking everything in the box.
